Though Dr. Somkiat Tangkitvanich finished his studies in artificial intelligence, his talk explores the structural issues that are made incomprehensible to ordinary citizens and shows us the bugs and flaws that crawl within Thailand’s technological systems. Rules, regulations, and a failure to disclose information to the public are all ways that hinder society’s progression. Policy can be reformed, but if we change our stance and beliefs - that is the real revolution.

Somkiat is the president of Thailand Development Research Institute (TDRI), a well respected think tank on public policy in Thailand.
