กองกำลังไซเบอร์
กองกำลังไซเบอร์ เป็นเรื่องของความมั่นคงที่เกี่ยวกับทหาร เพื่อติดตามภัยคุกคามมั่นคงทางไซเบอร์ทั้งในและนอกประเทศ ซึ่งทางกองทัพจะจัดตั้งกองสงครามไซเบอร์ ที่กรมยุทธการทหาร กองบัญชาการกองทัพไทย เพราะสงครามไซเบอร์เป็นภัยรูปแบบใหม่ที่เกิดขึ้น แม้ในไทยจะไม่ได้เกิดขึ้นบ่อยครั้ง เหมือนในในสหรัฐอเมริกา หรือเป็นประเทศที่มีแฮคเกอร์มากที่สุดคือจีน
คุณสุรนันทน์เห็นว่าแต่ละประเทศก็ต้องมีการป้องกัน ข้อมูลที่เป็นความลับ ไม่ให้เข้าถึงข้อมูลส่วนตัว จึงต้องมีระบบป้องกัน ในการดูแลปัญหาเกี่ยวกับไซเบอร์แต่หากสามารถจับกุมผู้ก่อภัยคุกคามเหล่านี้ได้ แต่ก็มีคำถามว่าจะต้องขึ้นศาลใด อาจจะต้องมีการตั้งศาลเฉพาะสำหรับเรื่องนี้หรือไม่ และการดำเนินการจะต้องผ่านทางทหารหรือตำรวจ และผู้ใดจะเป็นผู้นิยามของความมั่นคง
ซึ่งล่าสุดกองสงครามเครือข่าย สำนักปฏิบัติการ กรมยุทธการทหาร ได้ประกาศรับสมัครพลเรือนผู้มีความสามารถเข้าร่วมกับกองบัญชาการกองทัพไทย ในตำแหน่งที่เรียกว่าเสริมกำลังรบทาง สงครามไซเบอร์ คือ นายทหารเจาะระบบ (Penetration Testing Officer) ,นายทหารนิติวิทยาศาสตร์ทางดิจิทัล (Digital Forensics Officer) และ นายทหารตรวจสอบการรักษาความมั่นคงปลอดภัยไซเบอร์ (Cyber Security Auditing Officer)
ขณะที่นักวิชาการมองว่า การจัดตั้งกองกำลังไซเบอร์ในไทยนั้นเป็นเรื่องที่จำเป็น และไม่ได้มีความเกี่ยวข้องกับซิงเกิล เกตเวย์ ซึ่งในต่างประเทศก็มีการจัดตั้งกันมานานแล้ว อย่างในสหรัฐอเมริกาก็จัดตั้งกันในปี 2009 เพราะสหรัฐเป็นเป้าโจมตีของแฮคเกอร์มากที่สุด ส่วนเกาหลีเหนือและจีนก็มีกองกำลังไซเบอร์เช่นกัน
แต่ก็ต้องเข้าใจว่าชุมชนแฮคเกอร์เองก็มีหลากหลายกลุ่ม ทั้งกลุ่มที่ทำเพื่อหาช่องว่างของระบบเพื่อนำไปพัฒนาให้ดีขึ้น แต่ก็มีบางกลุ่มที่เป็นอาชญากร และหากเรามองว่าอาชญากรทางโลกไซเบอร์ว่าเป็นผู้ก่อสงคราม เราก็พร้อมจะลดทอนกระบวนการทางยุติธรรม อาจมองว่าเป้าหมายสำคัญกับวิธีการ
