 นักศึกษาไทยและต่างชาติในญี่ปุ่นร่วมต่อต้านรัฐประหาร

เมื่อวันที่ 3 มิถุนายน นักศึกษาไทยและชาวต่างชาติจากมหาวิทยาลัยต่างๆ ของญี่ปุ่น ประมาณ 20 คน ได้รวมตัวกันแสดงออกในเชิงสัญลักษณ์ถึงการต่อต้านการทำรัฐประหาร การขึ้นสู่อำนาจของรัฐบาลทหารโดยไม่ชอบธรรม การปิดกั้นเสรีภาพของการแสดงออก โดยเฉพาะในกลุ่มนักวิชาการและสื่อมวลชน รวมไปถึงการจับกุมผู้ที่แสดงความเห็นคัดค้านต่อการทำรัฐประหาร ซึ่งในจำนวนนี้ มีนักศึกษารวมอยู่ด้วย โดยนักศึกษากลุ่มนี้ได้เลือกที่จะประท้วงโดยการสวมหน้ากากของผู้เคลื่อนไหวทางการเมือง นักการเมือง นักวิชาการ นักโทษทางการเมือง หรือแม้แต่หน้ากากของกลุ่มผู้ก่อการรัฐประหาร นอกจากนี้ ยังได้มีการแสดงออกโดยการยืนอ่านหนังสือ ซึ่งเป็นสัญลักษณ์ของการต่อสู้ในเชิงวิชาการ และการชู 3 นิ้ว ซึ่งเป็นสัญลักษณ์ของการส่งเสริมเสรีภาพ ความเสมอภาคและภารดรภาพ

ทั้งนี้ กลุ่มนักศึกษาไทยและนักศึกษาต่างชาติจากมหาวิทยาลัยต่างๆ ของญี่ปุ่นยังเรียกร้องให้รัฐาลทหารยุติการกักขัง จองจำ การละเมิดสิทธิขั้นพื้นฐานต่อผู้ไม่เห็นด้วยต่อรัฐประหาร การยุติการละเมิดสิทธิของนักวิชาการและสื่อมวลชน และเรียกร้องให้ผู้ทำการรัฐประการคืนอำนาจให้ประชาชนโดยเร็วที่สุด เพื่อนำไปสู่การเลือกตั้งในระบอบประชาธิปไตยต่อไป

Thai and foreign students in Japan launch anti-coup protest

On June 3, a group of Thai and foreign students from various universities in Japan, approximately 20 students, organised a symbolic protest against the recent military coup, the military’s assumption of power in an illegitimate means, the curbing of freedom of expression, particularly among academics and media, as well as the continued arrests and detentions of critics of the coup, some of whom are university students.

The protesters wore masks representing those who are behind the political movements against the coup, politicians, academics, political prisoners or even the coup makers themselves. Additionally, the protesters read a number of books, as an expression of their discontentment against the prohibition of free thought about the coup, and raised their three fingers to symbolise the support for liberty, equality and fraternity.

 

This group of students are calling for the military regime to stop the detention, imprisonment and violation of basic human rights of those disagreeing with the coup. They must refrain from violating the right of academics and media in expressing their opinions freely. They also urged the coup makers to return power the people as soon as possible so that the elections, in the democratic framework, would be held accordingly.
