READ CAREFULLY
I am furious. A number of Thai nationals living in the UK have threatened others- notably the human rights activist Rose Amornpat who is now a British citizen. Some of these threats have been in the form of cyber bullying but they are now crossing the line with acts of aggression.
NOTE-
- Thai Laws concerning Article 112 have NO LEGALITY in the UK
- Threatening someone or carrying out acts of aggression ARE a criminal offence in the UK
- I respect Rose as I am someone who also has a staunch believe in human rights. Rose may have strong and at times crude views on the Thai Monarchy but she has not threatened anybody and has not broken any UK laws
- If you love the Thai Monarchy, good for you- no one is stopping you. You can disagree with Rose and others who hate 112 but you have NO RIGHT TO THREATEN HER OR OTHERS.
-If any of you target me with threats I will report you to the police, you will have a criminal record and possibly get deported.
- If I go to Thailand, I will respect and obey Thai laws. But in my country, the only laws I will obey are UK laws, provided they don't violate human rights- which right now, they don't.
- I am not a 'Red Shirt' and I am not affiliated with any Thai political party. My sole concern here is human rights.
- Finally I WANT TO MAKE CLEAR- THIS IS NOT AGAINST ALL THAIS IN THE UK. IF YOU ARE AN OVERSEAS STUDENT, TOURIST OR BUSINESSPERSON I WANT YOU TO HAVE A GOOD EXPERIENCE. BUT I WILL NOT ACCEPT SEEING ANYONE TRY TO SILENCE OTHERS BASIC RIGHT TO FREE EXPRESSION. If you disagree with Rose or others, you can say so - without cyberbullying or threats!
