Yes, its an odd thing that short hair is associated with men, historically. Before the 19th-century, men often had long hair. They always did in the 18th-century; not as long as women, whose hair was as long as it could be, but they always had ponytails in the 18th-century. It has changed so many times during history. /Historian.

Update : โรงเรียนในเพชรบุรี ได้เผยแพร่กฎการแต่งกายและทรงผม หลังการเผยแพร่ได้มีนักเรียนเข้าไปวิจารณ์ถึงความล้าหลังของกฎดังกล่าว จนโรงเรียนออกมาโต้ว่า โรงเรียนคงทันสมัยมากกว่านี้ไม่ได้ ให้นักเรียนไปเลือกโรงเรียนที่ไม่ล้าสมัยตามที่ต้องการเอาเอง
