At the US Independence Day celebration at the residence of ambassador Michael DeSombre — a political appointee installed by Donald Trump — there was no social distancing and nobody wore a mask.
The party was held in an enclosed space, and among the entertainment was a man playing a trumpet — a great device for blowing the virus at all the guests.
There were many Thai politicians and well-known figures at the party, including Health Minister Anutin Charnvirakul who attended with Panprapa “Dr Bum” Yongtrakul.
Why did Anutin not intervene to ensure guests at the reception were following the rules?
