วันนี้เช้าผมได้เดินทางมาที่ สน. ห้วยขวาง เพื่อรับหนังสือแจ้งไม่อนุญาตให้จัดกิจกรรมถือป้าย "ประเทศไทยเป็นประเทศเอกราช ไม่ได้เป็นส่วนหนึ่งของจีน" และ "ปกป้องแม่น้ำโขง" และจัดกิจกรรมรำลึกเหตุการณ์เทียนอันเหมิน 4 มิถุนายน ซึ่งปีนี้ครบรอบ 31 ปีที่ประชาชนและนักศึกษาหลายร้อยหลายพันคนต้องบาดเจ็บ ถูกสังหารผลาญชีวิตโดยกองทัพจีน
มันผิดอะไรหรือ ในฐานะคนไทยจะกังวลกับประเทศของเราเองที่ถูกจีนครอบงำอย่างยิ่ง ทั้งยังกำลังทำลายแม่น้ำโขง ระบบนิเวศสำคัญของอาเซียนและโลก โดยที่ประเทศจีนไม่สนใจเสรีภาพของประชาชนอย่างที่เคยเกิดในเหตุการณ์เทียนอันเหมินเมื่อ 31 ปีที่แล้ว ยังไม่นับอีกหลายเหตุการณ์เช่น เข้าบุกรุกและทำลายพุทธศาสนาในทิเบต และเอาคนอุยกูร์นับล้านมากักกัน หรือล่าสุดทำลายหลักประกันสิทธิเสรีภาพของคนฮ่องกง
การถูกปฏิเสธครั้งนี้นับว่าแปลก เพราะผมและเพื่อนๆ ได้มารำลึกถึงเทียนอันเหมินติดต่อกันมา 2 ปีแล้ว และได้รับอนุญาตจากเจ้าหน้าที่ตำรวจด้วย ทำไมปีนี้ถึงไม่ได้ ทั้งที่เราก็บอกว่าจะมากันแค่ 10 คนเท่านั้น และยืนห่างกัน 2 เมตร ข้ออ้างโควิดจึงฟังไม่ขึ้นเลย ถ้าเทียบกับปริมาณคนบนรถไฟฟ้าในตอนนี้ ทำไมรัฐบาลจีนถึงมีอิทธิพลขนาดนี้ และทำไมรัฐบาลไทยถึงกลัวก้มหัวให้จีนได้ขนาดนี้ น่าเศร้าด้วยว่านี่อาจเป็นการบ่งบอกถึงอนาคตประเทศไทยที่เราจะสูญเสียเสรีภาพ และกดขี่ประชาชน เพราะรัฐบาลกำลังยอมมอบประเทศแก่จีน ถึงจะจัดไม่ได้ก็ตาม แต่ผมขอยืนยันและเชื่อว่าคนไทยจำนวนมากยังเห็นว่า "ประเทศไทยไม่ใช่เมืองขึ้นของจีน" แม้จะถือป้ายนี้ไม่ได้ก็ตาม

[Thailand Is Not China’s Colony]
Today, I went to Huai Khwang Police Station to receive a document stating the disallowance of the events “Thailand Is Not China’s Colony” and “Protect Mekong River” which consist of holding up signs and the event to commemorate the 1989 Tiananmen Square protests. This year marks the 31st year after hundreds and thousands of citizens and students were murdered by the Chinese army.
Why is it wrong, as a Thai to worry about our country which is being dominated by China, about the Mekong river, an important ecosystem of ASEAN and of the world, being destroyed while China does not care about citizens’ freedom, same as what happened at Tiananmen Square 31 years ago. This is not counting other incidents such as the invasion and destruction of Buddhism in Tibet, the detention of millions of Uyghurs, and, most recently, the destruction of Hong Kongers’ rights and freedom guarantee.
This rejection is considered strange, as I and my friends have been commemorating the Tiananmen Square Protests every year for 2 years and we were allowed by the police. Why is it that we are not allowed this year, considering that we said we were going to gather with only 10 people, and stand 2-meter apart, so the COVID excuse doesn’t make sense, compared to the current number of people on the sky train. Why is the Chinese government so influential and why does the Thai government bow down to China this much? It is sad that this may suggest Thailand’s future with us losing our freedom, our people being oppressed, because the government is handing the country over to China. Even if we cannot hold the events, but I affirm and believe that many Thai people still see that “Thailand is not China’s colony” even if we cannot hold this sign.
Long live the fighting spirits for democracy of the people of 1989 Tiananmen Square Protests.
May dictatorship be destroyed. Long live democracy.

Thirty years after the violent suppression of a pro-democracy movement in China on June 4th 1989, a former People’s Liberation Army soldier present during the anti-protest operations has detailed his experiences. While Xiaoming Li didn’t enter Tiananmen Square until June 5th, his unit was ordered to enter the square a day earlier but stopped when violence broke out. He says his unit commander ignored his orders and instead chose to remain removed from the violence. As the world remembers the bravery of those who stood in defiance against a brutal military crackdown, China continues to censor the event and arrest pro-democracy activists. So successful has the Chinese Government’s censorship been, few among younger generations even know the massacre happened. No one knows how many people died, but estimates range from hundreds, to thousands.
