Dear Thai friends,
Here are some protests (?) of Hong Kong that we are trying to use our own power to contend against the government & the capital supporting the govt.
Trying to weaken the economic power of govt...https://t.co/h3CW9TgLOZ
Though we don't know how long we have to wait for the crackdown of the evil regime, we still wanna try.
Hi everyone, today I want to introduce HKers economic circle. (1/n)
<How HK people support protest in daily life?> In 2019-20 HK protests, HKers not only rely on street demonstrations, but also try to merge the protest into our daily life. One of the ways is developing an economic circle. (2/n)
<Why HKers would like to develop an economic circle?> In HK, most of the businesses related to daily life are run by pro-government parties. In order to maintain their high status in HK, they must keep quiet on democratic issues, (3/n)
and sometimes they may even restrict the freedom of speech. For example, they fired employees who have spoken out on democratic issues. (4/n)

So, as to reduce the influence of these pro-Beijing entrepreneurs and build up an economy which really serves HKers, HKers decided to establish an economic circle. (5/n)
<What is the concept of the economic circle?>
In daily life, HKers will spend money on the business that has shown their support on freedom and democracy. Meanwhile, boycott the business that is run by pro-government parties. (6/n)
After that, those businesses will provide support to the protest by donation and providing materials such as jobs, food, protest materials, shelters, and even legal support. (7/n)
Moreover, these pro-democracy enterprises will establish unions, create bigger strikes and protest, and earn bargaining power to oppose the government.(8/n)

Also, through the boycott of pro-government entrepreneurs, HKers hope it will change their stand from pro-government to pro-democracy. As a result, a local economic circle will form; HKers will have their own economic circle and don't rely on China’s support. (9/n)
<How is the result of the economic circle?> To be honest, the economic circle was not as successful as HKers expect. However, there are some obvious results we can discover. For example, some local shops can extend their business. (10/n)
Not only in HK, the economic circle even extends overseas, for example, in Taiwan, there are shops that start to stand up and speak out on HK democratic issues. As a result, overseas people have raised their awareness on HK issues. (11/n)
Moreover, the government actually fears about the economic circle as they criticized it. This shows that the economic circle has the potential to be against the government. (12/n)
Please remember that:
