ทุกคนยังจำเรื่องราวของวาฤทธิ์ สมน้อย เด็กชายอายุ 15 ที่ถูกยิงเสียชีวิตในม็อบดินแดงเมื่อ 2 ปีก่อนได้มั้ยคะ
เมื่อช่วงหน้าร้อนที่ผ่านมา เรามีโอกาสได้วาดรูปลงนิตยสารเยาวชนที่ชื่อว่า Ink ของห้องสมุดที่แวนคูเวอร์ ตอนนี้ผลงานของเราได้ตีพิมพ์ลงนิตยสารแล้วนะคะ ดีใจสุด ๆ รู้สึกภูมิใจในตัวเองมาก ๆ เลย
ขอเกริ่นนิดนึงว่า Ink คืออะไร และทำไมผลงานเราได้เป็นส่วนหนึ่งในนั้น
Ink คือชื่อนิตยสารรายปีประจำห้องสมุดใหญ่แวนคูเวอร์ เป็นสื่อที่รวบรวมผลงานศิลปะของเยาวชนอายุต่ำกว่า 18 ปีและนำมาจัดแสดง ปัจจุบัน Ink ตีพิมพ์เป็นฉบับที่ 6 แล้วค่ะ ผลงานของเยาวชนมีทั้งงานเขียน เรื่องสั้น บทกวี ภาพถ่าย ภาพวาด เกี่ยวกับเรื่องราวในชีวิตของเด็ก ๆ ความฝัน สังคม การเมือง ปัญหาต่าง ๆ บนโลก เราเองก็มีโอกาสได้ใช้พื้นที่ตรงนี้ในการออกมาบอกเล่าเรื่องราวของวาฤทธิ์เช่นกัน แม้จะผ่านมา 2 ปีแล้ว ทว่าปัจจุบันครอบครัวของวาฤทธิ์ก็ยังคงไม่ได้รับการชดเชยหรือได้รับความเป็นธรรมใด ๆ
ไม่ควรมีเด็กคนไหนต้องตายเพราะออกมาแสดงออกทางการเมือง เราอยากส่งเสียงให้คนทั้งโลกได้ยิน และไม่ต้องการให้ผู้คนหลงลืมถึงเรื่องราวของเด็กชายอายุ 15 ที่ออกมาต่อสู้เพื่อประชาธิปไตย สิทธิของความเป็นมนุษย์ อนาคต และเพื่อชีวิตที่ดีกว่านี้
เราขอสานต่อเรื่องราวของวาฤทธิ์ในฐานะเด็กที่มีความฝันแบบเดียวกัน คืออยากเห็นประเทศมีประชาธิปไตย อยากเห็นผู้คนได้ใช้ชีวิตอย่างมีศักดิ์ศรีของความเป็นมนุษย์ อยากเห็นความฝันของเด็ก ๆ อยากเห็นความหลากหลาย อยากเห็นอนาคตที่เบ่งบานด้วยความเสมอภาค
และสุดท้ายในฐานะของเพื่อนมนุษย์ที่ยังมีชีวิตอยู่ จึงอยากทำต่อในส่วนของวาฤทธิ์ให้เต็มที่เอง
การเคลื่อนไหวของเราจะไม่มีทางสิ้นสุดแม้จะไม่ได้อยู่ไทยแล้ว เราจะใช้โอกาสที่มีในการส่งเสียงถึงทุกความอยุติธรรมในประเทศ จนกว่าจะครอบครัวของวาฤทธิ์จะได้รับความเป็นธรรม จนกว่าผู้ต้องขังทางการเมืองทุกคนจะได้กลับบ้าน จนกว่าความทุกข์ยากของประชาชนจะได้รับการฟื้นฟู จนกว่าประเทศจะมีการเปลี่ยนแปลง
สุดท้ายจนกว่าอำนาจของสถาบันกษัตริย์จะถูกโค่นลงมาอยู่เท่ากันกับประชาชน
Warit is a 15-year-old boy who was shot dead in a protest two years ago.
Last summer, I had a good opportunity to draw for a youth magazine called “Ink” at the Vancouver Public Library. Right now, my artwork has been published. I’m so proud of myself
What is ink, and how can my work be published in this magazine?
Ink is the name of the annual magazine of the Vancouver Public Library. It is a medium that collects the artwork of youth under 18 years old. Nowadays, ink is in its sixth volume. Youth performances include writings, short stories, poems, photographs, and artworks about the stories of their lives, dreams, society, politics, and many other issues in the world.
I also use this space to come out and tell Warit's story. Even though it has been 2 years, Warit's family still has not received any compensation or justice.
No child should have to die because of political expression.
I want to make my voice heard for the whole world. And I don't want people to forget about the 15-year-old boy who came out to fight for democracy, human rights, the future, and quality of life.
I want to continue Warit’s story. As a child who had the same dreams, I wish to see the country have democracy. I wish to see people live their lives with human rights. I wish to see the dreams of children. I wish to see a future that blossoms with equality.
Lastly, as a fellow human being who is still alive, I want to continue doing Warit’s part.
My movements haven't been the end, even though I do not live in Thailand. I’ll use the change to speak out against unfairness in my country.
Until Warit's family got justice. Until all political prisoners go to their houses, until the misery of the people is restored, Until the country changes,
Finally, until the dominance of the monarchy is broken down to be equal to the people,
