โซฟี โชล เกิดเมื่อวันที่ 9 พฤษภาคม 1921ในวันนี้เมื่อ 100 ปีก่อน เธอถูกตัดสินประหารชีวิตโดยระบบเผด็จการนาซีในขณะที่เธอมีอายุเพียง 21 ปี เธอเสียชีวิตเมื่อวันที่ 22 กุมภาพันธ์ 1943 เรื่องราวของเธอยังคงมีความสำคัญจนถึงทุกวันนี้

Sophie Scholl wurde heute vor 100 Jahren, am 9. Mai 1921 geboren. Im jungen Alter von 21 Jahren von den Nationalsozialisten zum Tode verurteilt, starb sie am 22. Februar 1943 durch Hinrichtung. Ihre Geschichte hat bis heute eine wichtige Bedeutung.
Die junge Frau war Mitglied der "Weißen Rose", einer Widerstandsgruppe, die hauptsächlich aus Studenten bestand und die das Regime des Nationalsozialismus bekämpfte. Im Namen der weißen Rose verteilte sie mehrere tausend per Hand adressierte und frankierte Flugblätter mit Zitaten von Goethe und Schiller ganz im Sinne des Humanismus und christlicher Werte.
Durch ihren Mut zum Widerstand unter Einsatz ihres Lebens wurde die Widerstandskämpferin zum Symbol für beispielhafte Zivilcourage und inspiriert Menschen auch heute, sich für Gerechtigkeit einzusetzen.

Sophie Scholl was born 100 years ago today, on May 9th, 1921. Sentenced to death by the National Socialists at the young age of 21, she died on February 22nd, 1943, by execution. Her story has an important meaning to this day.
The young woman was a member of the "White Rose", a resistance group that consisted mainly of students and that fought against the Nazi regime. In the name of the White Rose, she distributed several thousand hand-addressed and stamped leaflets with quotations from Goethe and Schiller in the spirit of humanism and Christian values.
Through her courage to resist at the risk of her life, the resistance fighter became a symbol of exemplary civil courage and inspires people to stand up for justice even today.
