President Donald Trump is planning to receive Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman at the White House on Tuesday with all the trappings of a state visit. CNN international correspondent Salma Abdelaziz reports from London. The prince last visited Washington in 2018, months before the murder of Saudi dissident journalist Jamal Khashoggi at a Saudi consulate in Turkey. A CIA assessment released afterward found the prince had likely ordered the assassination, though he has long denied any involvement. CNN anchor and chief national security analyst Jim Sciutto speaks with Hanan Elatr Khashoggi, Jamal Khashoggi's widow. #CNN #News

Saudi Arabia admits Khashoggi killed in Istanbul consulate

Al Jazeera English

Oct 20, 2018

Saudi Arabia has, for the first time, admitted that journalist Jamal Khashoggi was killed inside the Saudi consulate in Istanbul. An announcement on Saudi media claimed Khashoggi died during a brawl between him and those he went to the consulate to meet. Eighteen Saudi nationals have been arrested in connection with the death and at least five prominent officials have been sacked. The story cut against the impressions given by Turkish investigators and left more questions than answers, including what happened to the journalist's remains. Al Jazeera’s Andrew Simmons reports from Istanbul.
