It’s always ridiculous when Thai royalists say there has to be compromise to solve the country’s divisions over the monarchy.
Only one side is using the draconian and archaic lese majeste law to silence legitimate debate and jail activists calling for reform. Only one side is murdering exiled activists like my friend Wanchalearm Satsaksit. Only one side expects people to crawl at the feet of others.
The other side just wants freedom of speech and democracy and a discussion about royal reform.
How can you compromise with tyrants who want to silence and enslave you?
