Iran’s preliminary peace agreement with the United States ignores what the Iranian people want, exiled crown prince Reza Pahlavi has told ITV News.
"40,000 Iranians haven't died in the span of two days for a nuclear deal or for the Strait of Hormuz to remain open", Pahlavi exclaimed as he considered whether the impending signing of a preliminary peace deal was a positive development for the people of Iran.
He told ITV News: "They have died for the sake of liberty, and freedom, and democracy. And they've been oddly absent in any negotiations."
The son of Iran's last Shah, Reza Pahlavi, has lived in exile in America since his father was ousted in the revolution of 1979.
