A Call for Peace

As a Khmer who was born in a time when the country was once a victim of chronic war and grew up living on the same land, until knowing the light of peace and progress, my life and the lives of millions of other Khmer people have already compiled countless painful myths for the future generations to know as experience.
I used to think that experiments in a very difficult era could be a lesson for the next generation, could create a society that is away from the sound of sirens, that is roaring in the sky day and night, away from the smell of ammunition, toxic fumes, away from dead bodies, with blood vessels in front of the face and terrible disasters.
I used to go to the hospital with my mom and go to the operating room since I couldn't read. I used to stand and watch injured people with broken arms and legs, who were admitted to the hospital with red blood, while their arms and legs were cut, and I heard the doctors screaming to cut their arms and legs immediately to save their lives. When I was very little I thought the world was people shooting and killing each other but this is how you look! And being a doctor like my mom means waiting to cut arms and legs every night.
The heartbreaking image of dozens of cases in that hospital is stuck in my head, I will never forget. Hard to bear the horrific scenes, my mom has been transferred from the ER to another pharmacy.
In my house, there is a long rifle that my dad often carried out to the battlefield to get close to the enemy in an area far away from Battambang, and even though there was no fighting with the enemy, he still carried it with him every night to guard the office. In fact, I should never call anyone an enemy. Everyone is a victim, a victim who benefits from the idea of ghost power of the unholy politicians. They have no morals, no humanity at all.
Because of my house in the middle of the town, it has also become a refugee haven for countless people fleeing the bullets of Khmer Rouge terrorists. Flat is 5 meters wide by about 30 meters, sometimes can carry up to twenty thirty people, tight like a box. Everyone often runs to hide, with their soul at the end of their hair.
When the balloon dodge the bullet, which I used to run and hide, was later dismantled to build a garden, I rejoice. When my dad takes his long rifle to the authorities to declare the peace I get even more happy because I hate heavy rifles more than anything.
Please note that I am writing this message today, I am not on the side of any politician or party, I am writing on behalf of a small living Congress called “people”.
I mourn the deaths of all people regardless of ethnicity, to be victims of war, especially the young children on the borders of disputed countries. I am totally opposed to extremists of all races, no matter what ethnicity, as long as you try to incite hate, to me you lack humanity.
War never discriminated against racism. The rocket bullet before exploding, it never asks for people and nationality from anyone. And the death that takes everyone's life, it doesn't require a passport, no visa at all. Wherever a war breaks out, the black herd will be there.
I declare again and again that we, as human beings under one roof, should share with one another, in abundance, humanity. There is no reason for one race to develop hatred towards another.
This earth does not belong exclusively to any race or person, it belongs to nature. The law of nature has given us life to shelter only for a moment, not for eternity. Our mission is to live by loving, understanding, forgiving, imparting to one another the dharma of compassion, compassion, and service.
Maybe both of our countries follow Buddhism, right? Why do Buddhists violate the principles of Dharma? Why do we fight each other for an excuse to kill each other?
Remember, as war drags on, it will only increase the size of misery, desperation and devastation for both nations, never cease. And the book of history begins to make the pages of imbalance of justice thicker because one side is written, each one is right on its own. And after that, the descendants of the descendants will be raged against their neighbor, slaughter, avenge on each other, on and on, without limit, until the whole earth melts.
Dear leader!
Today, at this time, I beg you, Lord, to stop the war as soon as possible! Here in the land thy people are many. Here, not only your Commander-in-Chief, Army, but millions of elderly, pregnant women, disabled, children and youth are losing all the hope they think will shine in the future. They deserve to be educated, intellectual resource to contribute to building the nation for the future, rather than being hostages to tactical war plan at an early age.
Hate cannot be won by hate reciprocated. So, please fellow countrymen, stand in the spirit of humanity, stop any propaganda that encourages incitement of anger, intrigue, hatred etc. Everyone, please help to spread the voice that causes reconciliation of the national and national market, so that we can live in peace together.
We don't need the graves of the youth to remember the spirit of the year anymore. We don't want a wall, a vegetable, a country and a country. We need more bridges across the borders of both our countries, including all countries locally and worldwide!

ทำไมเราไม่เติบโตไปพร้อมกัน
เรามีรากวัฒนธรรมร่วมกัน
มาฆ่ากันทำไม
