There are many examples of King Vajiralongkorn making political decisions about Thailand from his luxury hotel in Germany where he lives with a harem of around 20 women.
Here is one of the latest, from earlier this week — the king approved the appointment of Arkhom Termpittayapaisith as the new finance minister. Vajiralongkorn was in Germany when he approved it.
In 2017 the king even demanded changes in Thailand’s new constitution — even though it had already been approved in a referendum — so that he could formally reign from abroad without having to appoint a regent.
If Germany is serious about stopping Vajiralongkorn from ruling Thailand from German soil, they have to kick him out.
