Prime Minister Praethongtan Shinnawat addressed the public in a press conference, assuring that the earthquake situation is under control. Damage was limited to buildings under construction, including the Office of the Auditor General in Chatuchak, where rescue operations are ongoing. Bangkok's infrastructure is confirmed to meet high earthquake resistance standards. The government has activated all necessary agencies to aid affected citizens.
