Dear Mr Prachuab,

The Citizens’ Enquiries Unit of the European Parliament (EP) has received your message of 09 October 2015.

We would like to inform you that at the EP, the Human rights Subcommittee is the entity responsible for all matters relating to human rights, the protection of minorities and the promotion of democratic values while its geographical remit covers countries outside the EU. Their contact details are available in the right-hand column of their homepage.

Additionally EP's delegation for South East Asia covers relations with, among others, Thailand. The list of members is available on the delegation's webpages.

Another EU organ which is concerned with the situation in Thailand is the European Union External Action Service - the European Union's diplomatic service which helps the EU's foreign affairs chief – the High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy – carry out the Union's Common Foreign and Security Policy.

Finally, the list of EU Commissioners is available on the European Commission website.

We hope the information provided is of use and we thank you for contacting the European Parliament.

Yours sincerely,

Citizens' Enquiries Unit
